Serving Immigrant Entrepreneurs across PEI
The PEI Connectors Program is delivered through the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) and is in place to serve immigrant entrepreneurs in all parts of Prince Edward Island (PEI). Our staff report to the executive director and board of directors, and we work closely with staff in various provincial government offices, as well as like-minded organizations such as the PEI Association of Newcomers to Canada.
Since PEI Connectors was funded in June 2011, we have offered networking and advisory services to over 300 immigrant entrepreneur clients, and with our help, over 70 newcomer businesses have been registered in PEI. These businesses are diverse and cross all sectors of the Prince Edward Island economy.
The vast majority of our clients are originally from China and Iran, but individuals from several other countries across Asia, Europe, and South America have also benefited from our services for immigrant entrepreneurs. With the current flow of immigrants entering PEI, we expect to receive approximately 15 new clients each month for the next couple of years.
Our goal is to facilitate connections between immigrant entrepreneurs and the PEI business community. We offer a variety of advisory, networking, and research-based services to both entrepreneurs new to PEI, Canada, and to PEI businesses. Additionally, we regularly bring in guest speakers and host workshops and information sessions for our clients.
Our office is located in Charlottetown, PEI. Contact us today to find out how we can help your business grow in Prince Edward Island.
