Reza moved to PEI with his family in 2012 to enjoy the friendly and safe environment of PEI. He started a flat bread bakery business in downtown Charlottetown after doing market research on different business opportunities in PEI. He found out that that flat bread, a staple of Iranian cuisine, was being imported to PEI.
With the help of the PEI Connectors Program and many local business people, Reza overcame many challenges at his business start-up. Yummy Naan bakery was officially opened in April 2014 with the help of PEI Connectors office and presence of a representative from the City of Charlottetown as well as neighbours and friends. Yummy Naan has expanded his products with Iranian pastries and Safferon and is working hard on his business.
